Cumalıkızık Ramadan Halva

This dessert, named after the historical Cumalıkızık Village of Bursa, is among the local Bursa flavors.

The dough prepared with flour, baking soda, yoghurt and water that is firstly cut into walnut-sized pieces and shaped by the fork on the greased baking tray. And then, it is baked in the ovens. Natural molasses of the region is poured on the halva, after it is removed from the ovens. Finally, this dessert is ready for served. You can find this dessert in the famous and traditional restaurants of Bursa, especially in month of Ramadan.
