This dessert, which is one of the indispensable flavour of Ottoman cuisine, is the gift of traditional Bursa cuisine. This flavour, which is another name of “Keşkül-ü Fukara”, was distributed to the poor people in the bowls called “Dervish Bowl” During the Ottoman period.
It is made with ingredients such as milk, rice and almonds. Firstly the almonds are powdered and milk is poured on it and it is waited for 1 day. At same time, rice is kept in the water for 1 day and then chopped into cream. They are also added into the boiled milk with sugar. After cooling, the dessert is served with pistachios, hazelnuts or walnuts. You can find this dessert in famous restaurants of Bursa.
