Mihaliç Cheese

This cheese, is named after Mihaliç, the old name of Karacabey district of Bursa, is the local product of Bursa. It is thought to have a history of at least 200 years, although there is no definite information about its history.

It is produced from whole milk of the sheep, especially curly sheep’s milk. This cheese, which is kept in salt water, is used in salads and hot meals.
