Aşık Yunus is a Sufi poet who lived approximately a century after Yunus Emre. His poems were known during his lifetime and in the following years. Aşık Yunus poems were under a separate heading in Yunus Emre's poems in the Bursa magazine published in the XV. century, . Almost nothing was known about where Aşık Yunus lived and his grave. This situation continued until the discovery of his tomb by Niyazi Mısri. The tomb of Aşık Yunus was revealed on a sign of Niyazi Mısri. Later, as we understand from the tomb inscription, Ali Efendi built a tomb here.
