Bithynian Galleries
The galleries under the Bursa Castle were made by carving neatly out of a very resistant stone mass forming the fortress hill. These galleries; They are the means for the people to resist the sieges, to store enough supplies and ammunition, and to sneak out of the castle when life is in danger. Thanks to this huge cave and tunnel system, Bursa Governor of that period resisted the Ottoman principality for years.
