Forestry Museum
The museum, located on Çekirge Avenue, also known as the Saatçi (Watchmaker) Ali Bey Mansion, opened March 29, 1989, is Turkey's first and only Forestry Museum. In the museum, about two thousand works such as animal and plant fossils, communication and forest engineering devices, maps and photographs, documents on forestry history and various fossils as well as a walnut tree section resembling a human silhouette are worth seeing. The Saatçi Mansion, where the museum is located, is one of the important civil architectural structures of Bursa with its large terraces, pergola, snapdragon pool and Ottoman baroque style architecture.
