Gelincik Bazaar
Gelincik Bazaar
The bazaar is situated in the south of Cumhuriyet Street. It was commissioned by Ishak Pasha in the 15th century. It had 40 rooms, yet only 21 shops covered with vaults and 4 domes still stand today. Evliya Çelebi noted that odorants used to be sold in this bazaar. Today it is used by quilt makers and furniture dealers.
