It is in Babasultan Village of Kestel district of Bursa. The village of Babasultan, is 40 km. east of Bursa, in the south of Bursa-İnegöl road, on the slopes of Uludağ, covered with groves, shaded by great plane trees, and attracting attention with the beauty of its air and water. Geyikli Baba, who is a member of the Vefâiyye sect, which is the order of Tâlâlârifîn Sayyid Ebü'l-Vefâ al-Bağdâdî, is one of the prominent figures of the period that reflects the establishment of the Ottoman Empire and one of the best representatives of the ghazi-dervish type. According to the legend, Geyikli Baba was a dervish who came to Anatolia from Hoy (Azerbaijan) during the time of Orhan Bey and settled near İnegöl with his followers. He participated in the conquest of Bursa with his followers on deer like himself. (1326) After the conquest, Orhan Gazi was granted the present-day Babasultan village to Geyikli Baba and his followers to establish his lodge. The mosque and the mausoleum, which was repaired by the General Directorate of Foundations in 1958 and by the Bursa Antiquities Lovers Institution in 1963-1964, are in good condition today. The mosque continues its original use and the tomb is also open to visitors.
