İnegöl Furniture and Wood Industry Museum

In the museum located in Bursa's İnegöl district, İnegöl's cultural heritage regarding wood craftsmanship is exhibited to visitors. The museum, Turkey's first furniture museum, was opened by İnegöl Municipality on December 14, 2014. In the museum, the process that has developed from the craft areas created with woodworking in İnegöl to today's furniture industry is exhibited chronologically. The museum consists of two floors and wooden works of art are presented in a total of 24 sections. In the sections, workshops where woodworking is done, tools used in the past and products produced are exhibited.

In the sections of the museum, two or three-storey wooden houses reflecting the architectural structure of the period, horse carriage, dowry chest, luggage production, baby cradle and clog manufacturing areas are exhibited. In addition, woodworking areas such as heifer making for use in agriculture and the production of barrels for olives and olive oil made in Gemlik and Mudanya are also exhibited. On the second floor of the museum, the transformation of woodworking into the wood industry and later into the furniture industry during the Republican period is presented. Finally, today's furniture industry is presented to the audience in the fair area where modern furniture designs are featured. İnegöl Furniture and Wood Museum introduces visitors to the foundations of the cultural value of the İnegöl district regarding the furniture industry.
