İznik Sheyh Kutbuddin Mosque and Tomb
In Iznik district center, there is a mosque opposite the Nilüfer Hatun imaret and a mausoleum adjacent to it.
It was built in the XV. century by Çandarlı İbrahim Pasha one of viziers of Sultan II. Bayezid. It is estimated that the mosque was built a while after the tomb. In the single-domed and square-planned dome lies Sheikh Kudbettin, one of the well-known professors(mudarris) of Iznik, who was the author of Muhtasar Ilmihal and died in 1418.
The original mosque was destroyed. The mosque was rebuilt in 2007 in accordance with its original.
