Mausoleum of "Gulcicek Hatun"
This mausoleum is estimated to be built between 1399 and 1400 for Gulçiçek Hatun, wife of Sultan Murad I (1359-1389), and mother of Yıldırım Bayezid. Gulçiçek Hatun is the first female Sultan among the Padishahs’ mothers for whom a mausoleum was built bearing her name.
Although the column pedestals at the mausoleum’s entrance section are still preserved, the columns themselves today do not exist anymore.
Besides the one of Gulçiçek Hatun, there are three more sarcophagi in this mausoleum whose names are unknown.
