Mausoleum of Poet Ahmed Pasha
Ahmet Pasha, famous poet and statesmen under the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror (1451-1481), was the son of Veliyuddin Efendi, a high judiciary official of Sultan Murad. His mausoleum of the same name is located in the east of the madrasah built by him. The marble epitaph board over the mausoleum’s door, indicates the date of death of poet Ahmed Pasha as 902 A.H. (1496-97Inside this mausoleum, there is only the sarcophagus of poet Ahmed Pasha.
