Merinos Energy Museum
Merinos Energy Museum
Merinos Energy Museum was opened on September 7, 2012 in the power plant building within an area of 3200 square meters that provides electricity production for the Bursa Merinos Woolen Weaving Factory. All parts of the power plant, which is the industrial heritage of the Republican era, are preserved. In the museum, you can learn the details of electricity production from coal and get information about electricity production in Bursa. In addition, each section, enlivened by special lighting and sound effects, offers a theatrical show atmosphere.
In order to draw attention to the problems of global climate change and the depletion of raw energy materials, which are among the most important problems of the world, and to raise awareness, the education unit of the museum also implements a series of training programs on the efficient use of energy resources.
