Merinos Textile Industry Museum
Sümerbank Merinos Woolly Industry Weaving Factory, which was opened by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1938 and has been one of the symbolic enterprises of the history of the Republic and Bursa, was restored and designed in accordance with the architecture of the museum. In the concept created for the exhibition layout, it is aimed to introduce the production process carried out in the old Merinos Factory. In each episode, told the story of the stages through which the wool fleece taken from Merinos sheep was transformed into woolen fabrics respectively.
In addition to the workshops for children, silk pulling from the cocoon and weaving can be experienced by visitors in the silk section of the museum every weekday.
