Mihraplı Bridge
Mihraplı Bridge
The bridge, which is located on one of the branches of Nilüfer Stream in Nilüfer District, was built by Selçuk Hatun, daughter of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed, between 1465-1466. The bridge, located on the old Bursa-Karacabey Road, lost its importance with the change of the water flow direction of Nilüfer Stream and then a part of the bridge collapsed in time. The bridge has two inscriptions. Today, these inscriptions are in Bursa Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum. It is recorded in the historical documents that it was repaired in 1762, 1776, 1847.
