Nilüfer Hatun (Geçit) Bridge

The bridge, which is located on Mudanya Road and east of Geçit Neighbourhood, is known as the Geçit Bridge. The length of the bridge is 53.40 meters and its width is 5.25 meters. It has four bridge arched. four more drainage chambers built of bricks were added in an curve plan, when the bed of the Nilüfer River was later filled and spread around. The main bridge arches and the top of the bridge were built of face stone. The last bridge arched to the west of the bridge was demolished and repaired with bricks. Their railings were also made of thick cut limestone. Today, the bridge remained 200 meters away, after the route of Bursa-Mudanya road was changed. It is understood that it had became its present form during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II. It was also repaired in 1851 and 1920.
