Yildirim Turkish Bath

This hamam, or public bath, was built in 1390 by Yıldırım Bayezid. It is the last structure built within “Yıldırım Kulliye” complex, and this name is also stated in its waqf charter.

As it was planned as a single hamam, this structure is a quite small one. It consists of a cool room (frigidarium), a warm room (tepidarium), and a hot room (caldarium) section, as well as of two washing cells. This structure was renovated in 1605, 1671, 1982, and in 2010.
